Chorister From Heaven the Skylark (Alauda Arvensis) Poem by john (called jack) wren

Chorister From Heaven the Skylark (Alauda Arvensis)

Is it divinity your efforts seek?
Or a greater sensibility of space?
Or God's kiss upon your cheek?
Or even His warm embrace? .

Sweet one at thy summit sing
those melodious notes of renown
from lungs full of celestial ring
then you will receive the crown

Sing with great vitality
Sweet chorister from above,
Sing on with majesty,
To those below you love
