Christ Died For Our Sins

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
He was buried and He arose again
On the third day just as He said
Jesus's Word is yea and amen!
"It is finished"! was uttered from the Cross
God's wrath upon Him for our sin
Now..."go ye forth into all the world"
The Resurrection life to proclaim

When He was seen by numerous folk
The reality became surreal
Christ the Lord had risen indeed
Imagine how it made them feel
The fear of men no longer held sway
Nor the fear of death, nor of Hell
Great joy broke out amongst His followers
For Jesus doeth all things well

Praise God the church's foundation
Is in Jesus Christ the Lord
The gates of Hell shall not prevail
Forever honored is God's Word
For our Resurrection and our Life
Is still found in Christ the Son
The empty tomb bears witness to
Great thing that our God has done!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
