Christian Indeed Poem by Randy McClave

Christian Indeed

I am a Christian indeed
I am that glorious and happy and faithful breed,
For my salvation my Lord paid the price
I follow the teachings of my Lord Jesus Christ.
I follow the New Testament
Without denying or being unsure or hesitant,
It's the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus
And how he wants to save and how he loves all of us.
When he was crucified on the cross
Unto the Lord, none of us are a loss,
The third man on the cross Jesus had forgiven
We don't even know what evils or sins he did for a living.
Jesus never told me or anyone to hate
Or to ever damn someone's or anyone's fate,
He never told me or anyone to mock others or judge
And he never told me to hold a grudge.
In the Bible it is wrote
Give the poor or the needy your coat,
And if vengeance against you anyone does seek
Then turn the other cheek.
Whether we are in or under or outside a steeple
We should always love all people,
Remember, God hates the sin and not the sinner
In the Lord's eyes and heart we all are a winner.
Jesus never said to stand for the greedy
Never did he say we should not feed the hungry or help the needy,
We are told to pick up our cross and follow
Then our soul and our life won't be hollow.
Jesus told me to love and to trust him
Then my life will not be full of hate or grim,
And I was told to always follow his teachings
And to always believe and trust in his preachings.
I read the words of the Lord every single day
And every night unto him I do solemnly pray,
Jesus is no deceiver
He is my savior my salvation and my soul's deliverer.
