Christian's Or Not Poem by Randy McClave

Christian's Or Not

Christians will always remember this
Christ was betrayed by a kiss,
For 30 pieces of silver Jesus was betrayed
Because, the love of money and greed a sin was made.

The Lord was starving on the street
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
Then when I was hot as I did think
While thirsty you gave me something to drink.
When I was lonely and cold once again
I was a stranger and in your home you invited me in,
I needed clothes and then you happily clothed me
You gave me warmth through your generosity.
I was sick and you looked after me until I got well
I will always remember that caring tale,
And when I was in prison you came to visit me there
You had answered my prayer.

Then the Christians will say unto him
When was it not that we didn't praise you a hymn,
When was it that you were needing and alone there
That we gave you our love and our help and our care.
When did we see you hungry and thirsty they asked
When by us starving had you passed,
And when did we give you drink and food
When was it when you were thirsty and hungry we viewed.
When as a stranger did we invite you in our house
And gave you clothes or maybe even a shirt or a blouse,
When did we see you in jail and went to visit you
Because, we would had all went, if we had just knew.

I tell you the truth, the Lord will honestly speak
Whatever you did for poor and the needy and also the meek,
And what you did for the beggars and the homeless
You did also for me, and unto God your name I will confess.
