Christmas Greetings Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Presents there beside the tree,
Pretty bows of ribbon hold,
Precious gifts of love inside,
From loved ones,
With hearts of pure gold.
Christmas time has always been,
A time of love and joy to share,
Messages of goodwill sent,
To friends we know,
To all that care.
The sound of christmas carols heard,
Across a land of hope and fear,
Christmas is that special time,
That gathering,
Of loved ones near.
Amongst the holly,
Sweet robin sings,
In the bright white winter snow,
His cheerfulness is heard each day,
Christmas makes my heart aglow.
