Christmas Sweater Poem by Ima Ryma

Christmas Sweater

I came about from human thought
Trying to spare the Christmas tree.
So balls of yarn the two cats got,
One green, one red, so began me.
Each cat did take a yarn ball and
Unraveling and then did knit
In a manner as though they'd planned
I'd be in end someone to fit.
Each of the cats did knit a half
Of me, then put together fine
The whole me, and those cats did laugh,
Off to the tree went each feline.

The cats so well played their yarn game,
A Christmas sweater I became.
