Christmas Tree Ornament Poem by Ima Ryma

Christmas Tree Ornament

Once again time to trim the tree
For Christmas and we're all brought out,
The ornaments, including me.
Hope I get a good spot no doubt.
The human family is all
Participating in this fun.
Fingers are grabbing ball by ball.
I think that I am the next one.
Five year old Jack's fingers are on
Me as he makes a low hand pitch.
I know he, as branch I do don,
Just ate a tuna fish sandwich.

Smelling fishy meant my end, yup,
Now the house cat's busted me up.
