Church - True Poem by Phil Daniels

Church - True

Rating: 5.0

Why would you go to a church
Nothing there nothing to search
Just a fancy social club
A place where some will only snub

A club so friendly and very nice
Some will treat you cold as ice
And others we know it all
Don't try to teach us don't have the gall

Now as for the leadership
Wine and drinkies, we'll have a sip
And pastors who think they're Christ
Destroying souls and young lives heist

Didn't Jesus say I know you lot
You're headed for a place so hot
Much wailing and gnashing of teeth
They joined the liar and the thief

So where is all this brotherly love
Isn't this why Christ came down from above
Yet all we see is egotistics in life
Making things harder and much more strife

Yet open up Gods golden word
And find a love not seen nor heard
For His Son He died for you
Everything in His Book is reliable and true

Yet open up Gods golden word And find a love not seen nor heard For His Son He died for you Everything in His Book is reliable and true............sad state of the church.. the church went away from Christ from Middle ages onward....... it is high time we change it and renew this church of Christ.... the only way is to follow the holy words of Christ strictly.. thank u dear poet. tony
