Blame Game Poem by Phil Daniels

Blame Game

Rating: 4.5

Men and women still play that game
Pass the buck won't accept the blame
Ever since that fall
Neither will accept at all

Wouldn't it be so easy
Accept that word so breezy
Apologise to each other
Please, love don't smother

Such a simple word to say
I'm sorry each and every day
But oh no that same old game
It's not my fault, you're to blame

Oh God why did you bother
Made us from one to be together
Even sent Your Son to show us how
But each refuse the knee to bow

Some how there must be a way
I know His Word we should obey
And stay within that undying love
No more games no push or shove

But still after oh so many years
We still hurt and shed those tears
And men and women still play that game
And point the finger and pass the blame
