Circle Poem by Aimee Rozen

Circle

You and I have done this before;
we are traveling down that same path.
If it was fun once,
shouldn't it be fun twice?
I don't usually like circles
but I could dance in this one
with you forever.
I don't usually like repetition
but for you I'll bend the rules.
You look at me so lustfully
and whisper naughty things into my ear.
How much I missed you!
The way your fingers dig into my hair
getting tangled as you try to hold on,
to something,
anything.
I'm swallowing you whole
but you cannot see you've fallen;
you're transfixed by my gaze.
And even if you could pull away
would you even want to?
Or could you,
like I,
feel safe dancing in this circle?
