Circling Poem by Aaron Marchant

Circling

Rating: 4.5

Young eagle gliding high today
Emperor of all you survey
Your minions fear that steely glare
and wait in turn to take their share

Yet each majestic bird of prey
must pay the price of pride one day
When first those talons strike too slow
Behold the cackling carrion crow
