Clearing Eyes Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Clearing Eyes

We.
You, me and so many others too.
Are rushing.
Like no other time ever before.
To find and get back on track.
The one avoided to ignore.
With a choosing a wrong direction.
That got us off course.
Waving as warnings flew by,
Flashing 'Improve Not Excuse'...
A doing of the right thing.
Repeatedly.

"Did you see that flashing sign? "

Believing time to take,
Had been a waste of it!

-No! -

Today to realize,
With clearing eyes to recognize.
We are not born to be fools.
We choose to become that ourselves.

We.
You and me.
And so many with that mindset too!
Have been awakened.
Attempting to put on the brakes.
To acknowledge with evidence,
Finally to accept collected.
Fools are not born.
But from places we are to create.
Preferably done to be homemade.

And like no other time before,
We all are doing our best...
To get back on track.
Knowing that a choosing a wrong direction,
Everyone on-board doing to explore...
More ignorance.
Does not improve delusions to expect.
But can get all to face,
Themselves.
As participants unwilling,
Incapable to see repeatedly.
Is their destiny and the same brick wall,
No one can remain these days to believe...
Is an 'illusion'.
