Closed Up Poem by Claire Hunter

Closed Up

A closed mind
And a closed heart

Never to feel the love
Of another person

Closed off to the world
Always alone

Trapped
Hunted

A fearful being
And fearing herself

A thin silver cord
Connects everyone

In a cirlce
In a loop

Of unending
Hurt and pain

Never to love
And to never be loved

Ever again
Because love makes you weak

And friends are just
Dead weight

Only to be carried around

A 'Gothic' poem (my favorite type) through and through
