Claire Hunter Poems

A girl runs through the alley
Anxiously looking over her shoulder
They follow her like bees to honey
Escaping the meanacing shadows that chase her
...

2.

Vines twist and turn
Their way around the world
Weaving and wrapping
Slithering, as a snake
...

Pen on paper
Ink spreading
Sharp points scratching
Not a breath heard
...

A young girl rests on her knees
As the wind whips around her
Playing with her soft black hair
And tearing at her plain white dress
...

Hear the wind and the breeze
Enjoy the warmth of the sun and the sand
Relish in the coolness of the water
Feel the burn as the sun tans your skin
...

She rests on her knees
And the wind flows around her
Tendrils of silky hair
Run through her pale fingers
...

A closed mind
And a closed heart

Never to feel the love
...

The childs hand
Clasps the red rose

She pulls the petals
...

She floats on her back
Dark hair around her head
Like a halo
Eyes closed but still she is seeing
...

Let the past
fade away
Make room
for the future
...

The little girl
With so many burns
She fears the lash of the whip
And the heat of the flame
...

I see you everyday
Walking down the halls
You're surrounded by your friends
All the 'popular' kids
...

The moon has power
To restore the soul

The night will bring comfort
...

The Best Poem Of Claire Hunter

The Shadows

A girl runs through the alley
Anxiously looking over her shoulder
They follow her like bees to honey
Escaping the meanacing shadows that chase her
They flit over walls and through the cracks
And over the cobblestone floor
The girl knows there is no chance at hope
So she will run no more
