She sat gazing at his face,
And he, entranced by her gaze,
Taught her as he had never taught another.
Entranced by her bewildering eyes,
Enthralled by her crooked lips
And enlivened by her animated face,
He felt flat late in his age
And is yet to rise from the stage.
