Clouds Poem by Kasia Fedyk

I just thought I could chase the clouds away
with just one glance,
I truly thought so
maybe I could in some different way bring them to me
and maybe just once try to read all of the stories they tell

They know me, somehow they do
they can read me with just one passing moment
and know all of me
all about me
how clever of them
like milk and honey they will come to the rescue
of a hungry soul in search of understanding

When one decides to cry so many more will not fail to fall
and become the rain
when they do~
Do you really need an umbrella? tell me, do you?
don't you just want to feel their tears to fall upon you
with as gentle touch of pure water against your skin
showing the love so freely given with every drop
until they stop

Can you see me when I tell you this
like mirror of your own self
in me, a true reflection

So many will write with their own soul
so many may see with their own eyes
oh yes, so much to express
in the milk and honey

Can you chase the clouds with one glance
or just maybe bring them close to you
for a moment in time.
