Clueless Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Clueless

When one has lived,
Knowing what it is they most enjoy.
That decision made,
Belongs to the one who does it.
Especially the one,
Who has come of age.
With experiences to live.
And not wasting time 'what if'ing.
Or not have it understood to comprehend,
The difference between...
Peace of mind to have it.
And attention to get to have had.
Leaving behind those clueless.
Passing judgements to discuss,
What others could and should be doing.
While they sit around on their butts.
And not one doing it to get younger.
As time slips away with their wishes.
Done to also,
Distance them from the 'what ifs' they do.
To choose between passing judgements.
And comparing their aches and pains.
