Cold Feet Poem by Dr Anthony Onoja

Cold Feet

I gave you a shoulder, you saw a trunk
I offer you my hands, you saw an oak branch
I was the shade, you perceived mid-day
When I became a cloud, you saw a tornado
I am the rock you saw me a mud
I became an Archangel with six fairy wings
You saw me a dragon with six scary horns
I am the stream, you saw me a vast desert
I love you, it spread so wild
You hate me, it consumed my veins
You saw me a Goliath,
I was the David from Idobe,
Singing psalms to your soul
I was real
You made me fade away
