Cold Heart From Father. Poem by Tsireledzo Masindi

Cold Heart From Father.

Rating: 4.7

sorry I cant mourn you twice
you didn't think of us when life was nice.
You don't know how I wished to call you daddy
R.I.P to you cause I've mourned already.

You disregarded us when you were living lavish
Daddy, how could you be so selfish?
You didn't care for us, not even once
Now you are sick and dying you want a second chance.

I guess you don't know how life is
you made me a monster, turned me into this.
Now I live for mom and my brother
it is you who gave me a cold heart, father!

A man who could not be a dad to his children, surely is not a real man. A sad tale of paternal neglect and selflessness is aptly captured in the poem. Deep feelings expressed from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Masindi.
