Cold Hearted Woman Poem by Edwina Reizer

Cold Hearted Woman

That woman of mine’s
Got a heart of stone.
Cold as ice,
The coldest I’ve known.
Never sees the soft side
That’s right in front of her.
She carries the weight of the world
On top of her shoulders.

I know her heart’s been frozen
By too many men.
But because I love her
I do what I can.
I want to see her heart melt
When she looks at me.
I wish to take the cold away
So she’ll never be
A hardhearted woman
That I have to see.

For woman, I’m here now
To take your pain away.
I’m not like the others.
I’m here to stay.
