Cold Night Of December Poem by Nathan Barkley

Cold Night Of December

Don't let it stop now
Treasure this farewell goodbye
Don't keep the tears inside
I know, I know we are about to die
In this cold night of December
Understand me i must go
It hurts me the most
I'm the one who made you cry
I know its not the best time
leaving you alone only with depression at your side
Your cheeks red, your hurting me with a broken smile
we both are about to fall
like the snowflakes
forever falling burying everything
Trying to forget where the pain rests
Life is hard but love is even harder
My love, keep this promise
I hope you understand
Keep me and the memories
Alive
Even if its cold and leaves you shivering for a time
So one day when its warm outside
Maybe July
Our hearts will melt
Lets keep this promise
Sealing it with a passionate kiss
On this cold night of December
We walk away with tears falling down our eyes
Keeping the warmth of our lips
Locked inside
