- Color Of Eyes Poem by Georgios Venetopoulos

- Color Of Eyes

Color of eyes

Color of eyes, perchance remote,
your street and number, on a blank note,
I hold your love - two drops of rain,
that fell like tears - and arcane.

Two lines of solitude in verse,
like falling raindrops so disperse;
with the decreasing light tangle;
inside my voice, silently wrangle;

Marginal song on Strymon brinks
next to the Thracian mountain streams,
the Aves become two smiling stars,
that blink beyond my distant bars.

Anchorite path the Strymon's flow
the foliage dither, thoughts shall vow,
The Titans' carved, this mountain ring
worn for one day of skyward Spring.

And each smile flows like rain on blooms
on Thracian road, and Aves' flumes.
the two stars shine on skyward fare,
Celestial eyes that wait and stare.

A beautiful poem. Like to read again and again. 'And each smile flows like rain on blooms on Thracian road, and Aves' flumes. the two stars shine on skyward fare, Celestial eyes that wait and stare. '... is very nice. Enjoyed.
