N-ew light begins to rise,
E-rasing the cold chilling rain;
V-iews in the sky above
A-re all up there to remain.
N-ew light starts to shine,
G-iving warmth to the day;
E-vening shadows vanish,
L-ong night has faded away.
M-ist and haze disappear,
A-fter the downpour is gone;
R-ed rays that bathe your life
C-ome from the big beacon.
O-pen your eyes to brightness, ignoring the dark and gray;
S-aturday seventeenth December brings color to your birthday.
