Heartaches Will Never Last

Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Heartaches will never last,
Nor will they forever stay;
Sorrow shall be replaced
By delight each passing day.

Once in a little while,
Human hearts may break and bleed;
It happens to anyone,
To call on the Lord and plead.

The colors of life
Are not just lucid and bright;
But also dark, blue and gray,
To even the day and night.

Pain and hopelessness
Are only in someone's mind;
They may be wiped out,
Better leave them both behind.

No one else can cure
But you and yourself alone;
Fervent devotional prayers
Take you away from cry zone.

Smile the sweetest smile
And the whole wide world smiles too;
Cry the saddest moan,
You shall find it's only you.

Getting out of the blue
Is easier said than done;
But with God on your side
Impossible thing is none.

Forgiveness from the heart,
Forgetting things of the past;
You shall now realize,
That heartaches will never last.

    From the passing time it will become dust that needs to wipe away. To the present time of life, courage strengthen us to being bold in our emotion to try new things, new ideas, new opportunity available for us to experience. We must be bold from our hearts, to be heart free not being afraid to get hurt. because it is OK. Life is wonderful whatever things it may be. I loved life. Because I loved Jesus my savior.(Report)Reply

    This is an excellent poem that gives great advice. When we cry and moan, suddenly we are alone. A motto I always say is good to follow...." fake it to you make it" . Wonderful writing here and great message.(Report)Reply

    In simple diction, the poet has elucidated the truth that one should come out of his misery by one's efforts and devotional prayers to god. As Shelley said, if winter comes, the spring will be following next. Joy and sorrow alternates but it is to happen we should make our efforts.(Report)Reply

    Life is easy if we realize it has peaks and valleys. We expect perfection and no problems? God sends us all kinds of challenges. We were not born into heaven. But if we live in a state of gratitude, ah, then life is so beautiful, it sparkles.10+++(Report)Reply
