Colour Drain Poem by Bella Pencil

Colour Drain

Rating: 5.0

When the black rules,
And the colour drains,
The darkness overtakes.

Crown it king,
Believe your sin,
The yang against the yin.

Rainbow gutter puddles,
And clouds turning grey,
This is the charcoaled rain.

Turning black,
Truths turn slack,
The monotone's attack.

It's as black as night,
As the sun signals day,
But the moon doesn't shine.

And the colour leaves,
With the colour thieves,
Though the dark we receive.

The blue of the mood,
That is saddened and dull,
Then the golden jubilation.

The rainbow shoots across the sky,
Spearing clouds of grey,
This is the joyous day.

The black creeps back,
The sun shines bright,
There's colour once again.

It's a day of colour,
A day of pride,
The rainbow flag we sit astride.

But still the shadows haunt the land,
The fact they're always there,
Shows that not all came back.

The doubts are there,
Black is everywhere,
Though colour is in the air.

So be proud of who you are,
Be proud of the world you live in,
Because pride is everywhere.

Though good and bad are in this world,
The love you own or that you won,
Means from the shadows you have outrun.
