Love was never meant to be,
But the memories have stayed within my soul,
When I look back I shed a tear,
To stay with you was my life's goal.
But life has a way of changing things,
I'm reminded of that every day,
Fate plays a part and with it brings,
A change of course in every way.
My feelings took a a mighty shake,
That day you turned away to go,
I think of you and my heart breaks,
Come back to me,
For I miss you so.
