Come Forward To Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Come Forward To

What does the nature speak?
Does it show that our nature is bleak?
Do we need to try once again?
The question still remains

We would love to see
Big gardens and tall trees
Birds with nests
And cool shed for travelers to rest

Can this happen?
Yes, mother earth can be made real heaven
If land is not bartered
Fields are not destroyed

Let the fresh air blow
Let the river water flow
Through set path
And provide us means to breathe

No fields shall be seen
In future time it will be only scene
Of imagination in school books
No wood shall be available for cooking food

We are worried about mortal rate
We concern about progress till date
But not a word for healthy environment
Will any one come forward and say about present?
