Come Near To Me! Come Near! Poem by Mohammad Younus

Come Near To Me! Come Near!

Come near to me! Come near!
My doors are open for you, my dear!
I hear my beloved, night and day, calling;

The fields are fertile to sow the seeds;
Come and see!
Those who sow on the right time...
...how they reap the harvest.
Never glorify the deeds of others...
...One who ploughs in spring...
...expects harvest in autumn.

Come and see
Through the Divine eyes...
...the timeless mystery of my love,
Oh see with my eyes...
...how the first time, I kissed you...
...when my spirit I breathed into you
Boundless by the time, I told you:
My child: I built my walls around you.

Come and see!
How do I feed the bread of my love...
...to all whoever, and wherever they are;
Even to the tiniest of my creation!

Come and see!
How my lovers are specially prized;
For to them I lovingly exhibit...
...my beauty behind the veils.

Come and see!
My Perfection in my vast creation!
Look in these blossoms of creation...
...my everlasting beauty!
See I am the king of all realms!
On my head is the crown of immortality.

From far horizons comes a Voice...
...that says:
‘Lo! from the hand of the Living...
...take thou thy daily bread of knowledge...
...and wisdom'.
Getting out of my slumber, I see...
...the divine flame burning in my heart...
...and the heart of all the things of creation.

The flame of creation!
That brings out from darkness to light;
That brings into existence what was...
...before nonexistent;
That brings out the living from the dead,
That brings out the dead from the living;
Such Is His Law of creation:
Creating and uncreating!

Heeding to the call, I now see before my eyes...
...the glory and grandeur of God's creation;
I know it to be the splendid Divine Plan...
...of manifesting Himself;
Yea, I have understood well that this creation...
...is nothing but His True manifestation!
All things make together one Great exhibition!
He is our lord! He is the lord of all creation!
All praise is due to Him!
