Unconquerable, blissful Nivaria,
later named Snow Mountain, or Tenerife,
boasts the Plain Swift aeronautic carrier
that spends most of its time in crescent flight;
unsettled while on ground, drinking from the wing,
a proud addition to the island's history.
Of volcanic origin, thermally primed,
rising from African tectonic rings,
climaxing at the tip of Mount Teide.
The sveltely flowered Teno Massif
sequestered by coasts of impeccable design,
rock ledged, stiff faced, sculpted by the hammerings of time.
