Coming Home Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Coming Home

Coming home, is the waking of a memory
Where our hopes are promised to begin
In this place, where the love is feeling
Not a regret when time takes away a friend

We have built the towns before the dreaming
Out of chaos was formed a peaceful life
Home, where all the children gather
A happy place that waits after, Good Night

From the birth of time we are dreaming
It is a cry we let out into the light
No more is the peaceful place a feeling
Only troubles of living in a life

Mothers smile to see the newborn faces
They have long forgotten where the dream began
Until the time when life is over
And the darkness reaches like a veiled hand

Dreams are a living memory
They are the life that takes us from our land
Until the moment when the dream is over
Until the time we wake-up, once again
