Coming Of A Storm Poem by Dorsey Baker

Coming Of A Storm

A storm is rumbling
in the wind
tonight down
on the farm
the thunder
and the lightning laugh
loud
and the rain
comes tumbling down
we get down
upon our knees
and pray
seems like
its gonna be a
stormy night tonight
down on the farm
mothers and fathers
have put their children
to bed they are fast asleep
a dog starts to bark
he knows
the sound of a storm
we turn out the lights
the house is dark
because
like a army tank
the storm is
rolling across the land!
