Companion Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

Companion

Rating: 5.0

Eyes wide awake
Mind takes no break
Sleep afar,
Only on show
Thru a slit on window
A lone star,
In that space
It shows its face
Of loneliness,
Does it like me
Need company
In the nightly recess?

Loneliness is a nasty thing. Of course, at night it gets worse.Hope it does not stay too long with you. Nice poem.
