Are there shackles tied to his bedpost, because he isn't getting up.
And when he does, a half-hearted walk out of the bedroom followed by a yawn drenched in fading sleepiness.
The sun well up and the rest of the world up and moving, he began his monotonous routine of yawns and stretches.
Then, he relaunched himself onto the couch and turned on the television.
Glued and subdued he sat, he seemed so interested, until a yawn was let out of his mouth.
Then, it was of to crunching and munching his daily dose of chips dipped in chutney. His utter satisfaction revealed through a loud
burp which broke the symphony of silence pervading in the room.
A glance out through the window, to the other world, so sophisticated and intricated, he felt their weird lives to be!
And then, he relaunched himself onto the couch, confined to his four brick-walled home, resuming what he calls life!
Beautiful poem....and the lines interesting... a loud burp which broke the symphony of silence pervading in the room. Loved reading it. Thanks for sharing and do keep writing...

The poet has created a peculiar world of life and confined in a room with such events of life. Life itself felt it in that way and the poem is a beautiful one.
