Conflict Poem by Vinita Nahata

Conflict

Conflict is plunged in human mind,

Like it or not, it is hostile.

How deep can the depths of your heart go?

What do you hide that you've wanted to show?

You bottle it up and swallow your pride,

You cover it up when it's clear that you've cried.

Pain and misery, threat and spite,

Guilt and sorrow, grudge and fright.

What happened, happened whether sad or gay,

You can not alter it in any way.

No need to grumble, wail or whimper,

Now time to rise and wipe your tears.

Save Thy, O' dear soul!
Before thy heart betrays thy mind,

Or, before this conflict goes wild.

For....

If you don't heal what hurts you,

You will bleed on people who didn't cut you.
