Confused Poem by Otha Gwabe

Confused

Long time in waiting
Pain, excruciating
Now laid on the bed
Announced dead

Silence is deafening
Loud is whispering
Then finally a breath
One of great depth

As time goes and flies
Again nearly dies
Now left with a mark
That lessens the spark

Next the train follows
The punch, blade and windows
A thorn, car and rock
The ticking of a clock

Pieces of organ coming out
Living seems like a doubt
These are issues that come about
Something I need to shout

Mind failing
Eyes blurring
Ears ringing
Heart slowly stopping

A rotting corpse walking
Voice rasping
Limbs paralyzing
Joints rusting

Am I human, am I alive…
