if, in fact, you imagine a line
from the soles of your feet
down into the ground
through the earth's crust
through the warmer areas
maybe even through the planet's extremely hot kernel
right to the place you want to be at
and to the soles of somebody else's feet
you may, in fact, feel pretty closely connected
