Consolation (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Consolation (Part 1)

The beautiful lily
Blossom at morn
To wither in the even

The pretty zebra
With artistic designs
Fall prey to carnivores

The bright moon
shining high above
Soon obscured in darkness

The colourful rainbow
With nascent beauty
Quickly dissolves in the cloud

Yet we shield not our eyes
From beauties of nature.
