Contemplation Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Contemplation

With my pen poised, I sit and wait,
With pensive thoughts in Mind,
Hoping a poem will come to me,
With rhymes and verses kind.

My Mind now blank for thoughts anew,
Will scenes come into view?
Or ~ will the thoughts abstract be,
For this poem, today, for you?

I sit and wait patiently,
In my Doctor's Waiting Room,
And while I wait, I contemplate,
Hoping I will be seen soon.

When my Mind is relaxed it is the time
For words to produce new poems,
Structured in rhyme and scan as well,
To show how my thoughts are going.

It is not bad, ~ I have written worse,
As my pen write the final verse,
For now my thoughts form into rhyme,
Like they do, time after time.
