Cool Heart, A Cup Of The Water Of Life Poem by Mohammad Younus

Cool Heart, A Cup Of The Water Of Life

Cool heart, a cup of the water of life.
Echo of a universal poem heard there.
A nightingale sings on the window of the heart,
Singing sweetly like an enlightened soul,

Awakening from deep slumber through its melodic tunes,
Removing dusty thoughts like old, obsolete books,
Making the mute speak, the deaf hear, and the blind see.

The soul swings at dawn when the sun rises,
And birds start chirping from their nests.
The Divine watches them sway and sing.

Don't settle in the barren deserts of life,
You'll waste all your years chasing ghost mice.
Seek contentment in a spiritual dance and song.
Step into the impossible daylight of divine presence,
Where the air is filled with divine storms
of peace and love.
