Even though the pain is present
It will go away
Fading with the test of time
Not words that friends can say

Even though the sadness and the hurt
Stretch far and wide
Days and hours of your friend time
Will help it to subside

Holding onto thoughts inside
Which never leave your mind
Memories of loving hours
The precious, treasured kind

Will mend the crevices of loss
And fill your heart with hope
Strengthening your senses
And allowing you to cope
