Corruption Of The Heart Is A Poison Dart Poem by Mark Heathcote

Corruption Of The Heart Is A Poison Dart

If I am despised, by these many others?
By your family and friends
By your work colleges too
Is it not your judgment?
I am found wanting
As I have not met with all those associates
Or spent much time with those networks.
Gossip makes idle hands
Pick up spears and join legions.
If a faithful heart is unfaithful
The outcasts are always, always,
Always left outside the circle to rot and die.
Corruption of the heart is a poison dart.
