Costly Is Freedom Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Costly Is Freedom

Costly is freedom

Days and nights, open eye,
Walk and look when drive
To search for the eager
In cold, rain, as seeker…

Therefore, you, domestic
As sheep, goat or donkey
Or maybe, hen, chicken
Do not talk of jackal.

Your vision with limits
On daylight's grazing
And to den returning
Is nothing to be missed.

If you are wolf-free,
Run a life of hardship,
Are twilight searching,
Let us talk as twins.

I love the birds in wild,
Out of cage jaguar;
And lion to roar, bite…

We rather face the death
By hunger and the thirst,
To becoming slaves.

Costly is freedom…

Therefore, you, domestic
As sheep, goat or donkey
Or maybe, hen, chicken
Do not talk of jackal.

We are not like raccoons
Turning to junk eaters,
Neither skunk nor bear;
Heard grizzly joined them.

Costly is freedom…
