Couch Potato

3: 16am,16022022 i am already awake
I hear the first cockerels call
I am nursing one of my nocturnal headaches
Seems worse lying down
Than sitting on the WC doing poetry

My head is reporting that my back hurts
Expected after extensive physio on Monday
Today am off to the rehab centre for more
As they say, no pain no gain
The back pain was driving me insane
Causing other complications

Hypertension
Insomnia and nightmares
Numbness in feet
Headaches
And ear problems

So, i am glad my wife dragged me
Kicking and screaming to the neurosurgeon.
The negatives to this backache are many
The positive is i can be a professional hypochondriac
A real couch potato
Unable to do much physical work
Except write more poems.
