Country Life Poem by james watkin

Country Life

Country life, gently benign
As that, green rolled, face?
Til dying, a peaceful heart's
Final resting place?

'It is; and has it thus been.
As vouched by, uncurbed
Lamb, calf, yonder. And every
Nest, that's undisturbed.

The farm teaches us that a natural part of life is death. Nice poem!
