Country Park Poem by Thomas Plotz

Country Park

Saw a solitary firefly
Looking for his mate, in the country park, after dark
A twinkle here, then there
Moving high then low,
With a slow methodical motion,

The night time treasure of summer
Sounds of the distant drummer
Boom boom dish, boom boom dish,
Twinkle out the beat,
With the slow methodical motion of sound
Soothing addition in that country park town
