Covid-19 Poem by Emmanuel Karikoga

Today...!
All nations and people, we gather in solidarity against you, coronavirus,
You have threatened and swallowed some members of our society.
You left your giant foot step in Italy and showed no remorse to humanity,
You destroyed everything, from moral, happiness and personal dignity.
Coronavirus,
You have been found guilty of violating many societal laws,
And we that reason, eliminating you now tops the lists of humanity goals.

Did you ever think you were Thanos?
Or that you could wipe away humans from the earth just like that?
Did you ever think that all our scientists, nurses, doctors and researchers would avoid you or keep a distance?
Or you foolishly thought that only those in camouflage are the soldiers that protect earth?
Well..Coronavirus!
Its not just a role for the millitary personnel or the Avengers,
Cause everyone has a duty to protect earth whenever it is in danger.

Out of ignorance, you purposely underestimated us,
Forced us to wear face mask cause you wanted to steal life.
So today, we end the war with you, coronavirus!
Go back to where you belong cause you are not one of us.
We are not succumbing to defeat, its only that we have more better things to do,
Soon or later, we are going to have a vaccine,
So if you choose to stay, we will outrightly destroy you.

Meanwhile....!
All the leaders of earth have agreed that;
Social distancing and washing hands more often is one way to go,
Coughing into your elbow & avoiding touching your face is the second step to progress,
And finally, everyone has a duty to play in this war but the basic one to fighting corona is staying home.
