Covid-19 Woes Never Be Forgotten Poem by Dr Anthony Onoja

Covid-19 Woes Never Be Forgotten

The nights are cold
cold that wretch our fears
Little did we know humanity
is at the brink of exit

scrambled in tatter nights of fears
the night came with the plague
sometimes the ambulance race
passed my window

another fallen hero evaporates too quickly
men are absent in lonely cathedrals
the night came and hide us in castles

like the fury of Thanos' fingers
we all evaporate in nothingness
to COVID-19 woes never forgotten

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The COVID-19 pandemic have causes a global catastrophe, killing thousands of lives and leaving humanity to fate, amidst fear, defeat and pain. Though weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. Sunrise of healing shall lit mankind again....this surely not the end of the human race.
