Covid One Nine! Poem by Happiness Edeh

Covid One Nine!

Rating: 5.0

Slowly the young it takes,
with elusive speed, the old is gone.
A nightmare in broad day light.
Like a movie, the world paused.
Trips, hustle and bustle paused.
solemn made the world! !
The fire place,
turned to a mourning ground.
Recounted the past,
end time some said.
Loads of plea,
to the one ignored.
The self sufficient raced off..
Bent kneels, begging for mercy
before the soul is stolen.
COVID-ONE-NINE!
The world is on its toes,
Its strain stung her veins..

Nicely penned, very apt in the present realities our world is faced with. You should see my poems, The invisible Enemy and Tomorrow.
