Coward (Lâche) Poem by Emma Woods

Coward (Lâche)

You wouldn't know
You couldn't know
You shouldn't even try
To understand
I could never trust you
Could never trust you then
It wasn't even true
I wasn't good for yoou
You never had the heart
To end it to my face
You never had the mind
To even think that way
You could not devote your heart
You ignored the love - I hurt
Will you ever know this pain
When I see you time again
The soul I used to love
Is the soul I miss today
The heart you never had
Or the heart you threw away?
The words I couldn't say
I'm glad I didn't speak them
But I could never make you pay
As it's my heart you've weakened
You were selfish and a coward
Moved on before it ended forever
How could you have changed so much?
You're not the person I thought you were
