Crash Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Crash

Her body lay broken
shattered by the crash
like a mirror scattered
reflecting only that she had left

left her pulse beating madly
into the darkness
left here breath faltering
into the shadows

left her heart beating
without a moment
to hold her self in
to see her self in

her eyes letting go of the sky
becoming sunset
her hands letting go of the memories
that would forget her

her mouth seeking kisses of those
who had loved her
& she abandoned this life
because
Death had asked her

OUCH! Sad one here...but there is a typo in the line...to see her self in. Otherwise, that last line is a hard one....it hurts.
